What famous musician said “writing about music is like dancing about architecture”?

Wasn’t this just discussed? Elvis Costello?
I think it was indeed Elvis. I also like the similar adage- fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity.
There’s much controversy over this phrase. Some say Zappa.
Alls I know is, EC DID say it in an interview. I read it. Was he the first? Nobody knows.
Ahh, EC- good ole’ Slow Hand.
I thought it was Bowie or Young, but Clapton sounds about right. Or was Townsend?
Matt: Why is Star-Room not loading for me today? I’m using Firefox.
Dunno, Mike. It’s loading fine for us over here… Must be some odd problem on your end.
Ha ha! Newm’s has a “problem” on his “end”!
Don’t laugh at my end-problem! It’s embarassing.
In the end we all have the same problem: death.
Jeeze!
I’m just here to remind people of their own mortality. Chicks dig it.
That is soooo hot!
“C’mon, baby, shake it… That’s right. Who’s my little future corpse? Who’s my little future corpse? Oh, you know it’s you, sweetheart… Now, let’s see those jugs again before they decompose on us.”
OMG! And I thought I was morbid.
Btw, I think we should just attribute this question’s quote to Frank Zappa, so Gail doesn’t swoop down on us.
Again…that is sooo hot.
Necrophilia… Who isn’t delighted by it?
“Cold Ethyl and a skeleton kiss”
Alice! We’ll see you next weekend, buddy.
No points on this one. Too inconclusive. I think it was Zappa first though.
I always thought it was Brian Eno.
I thought i’d try S and M, Bestiality and Necrophilia all in one go, but I realised I’d just be flogging a dead horse…
