We are overwhelmingly psyched to announce to you today that Beyond Beyond is Beyond Records officially takes flight as we start taking pre-orders for our first release from the absolutely amazing Brooklyn band, Prince Rupert’s Drops. Their debut album Run Slow officially comes out on November 13th.

We have been toiling behind the scenes pretty much all 2012 to get the proper ducks in a row for BBiB Records and we continue to do so. And a happy toil it has been. The stuff of dreams…except with less falling and more flying :)

And we’ve been so lucky to have a lot of help and support from a lot of you. A huge thank you to any of you that answered any of our myriad questions, helped with artwork, posted about the label, came to BBiB shows or record clubs, gave advice, said kind words, inspired us, dealt with my stress or provided a smile. It’s all been greatly appreciated. For real.

And another enormous ‘thank you’ goes out to Chris Millstein who, early in the game, hipped us to Prince Rupert’s Drops. They encompass so many of the qualities that make us love music like we do.  It’s indescribable the many different ways that this band kicks ass. You just need to soak it in for yourself. We’re truly giddy that we get to be the ones to unleash the magic! And of course there’s no better way to do that than via vinyl.

So head over to our Bandcamp page to stream and pre-order Run Slow on vinyl or cassette or both. Every pre-order comes with a free BBiB Records vinyl tote bag and an immediate digital download.

And we’re putting on our very first CMJ showcase on Tuesday at Arlene’s Grocery, along with The Vinyl District and Easy Apple. Things kick off psych-style at 7:30 with NYC’s own Street Smells. Our Boston buddies, Quilt, play at 9:00 and Prince Rupert’s Drops go on at 11:00. The Midnight Hollow, The Revivalists and Caddywhompus are all great too, so stick around all night!

There’s lots more good things on the not too distant horizon, and we hope you come along with us. Onward and Beyondward!
