Dudes,

I saw Irish rockabilly boogie-woogie belter, Imelda May, last week at Piano’s with Eric Silverman…and we were both floored! What a voice…and what a band!!! And we’re all lucky enough to have her on the Beyond Beyond is Beyond show on East Village Radio on Thursday at noon eastern. I’ll be talking to her right at the top of the show and she’ll give us an exclusive live performance, so be sure to tune in right on time! Right on?

Talk to ya Thursday at noon on East Village Radio!

Zoos of Berlin NYC shows this weekend:

Pianos [FREE MIDNIGHT SHOW] New York City, New York
Sep 26 2009 8:00P
Market Hotel Brooklyn, New York

What’s up, Be Yawnders…

Tune in to Beyond Beyond is Beyond today at noon eastern to hear lots of great jams and tunes, and I’ll be talking to Alberta Cross…a band that Rolling Stone just deemed ‘stoner-rock revivalists.’  After a summer of touring and festing at Bonnaroo and Coachella and a very critically-acclaimed and well-received first EP, they are ready to drop their first full-length, Broken Side of Time, on Tuesday, September 22nd.  They’ll also be playing for us live for us in the studio.  Some come along to the land of beyond on East Village Radio where nice things happen to your ears.

Was JT at Indie-music fest, All Tomorrow’s Parties in Monticello, NY this weekend.  It sure looks that way! ;)

Greetings Bee Yonders,

This week I will be welcoming the super-talented Bryan Scary of Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears fame!  I’ve been championing these guys since last year when I chose their Flight of the Knife album as one of the best new releases of 2008.

“[Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears] revives everything you love about psychedelic pop…”  – New York Post

Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears will release their Mad Valentines EP on Elijah Wood’s Simian Records and Brooklyn-based Old Flame Records on October 27th, just in time for Halloween.

Plus plenty more hot rocks and phazed cookies on this week’s Beyond Beyond is Beyond on East Village Radio, live Thursday…noon to 2:00pm Eastern~!

Cheers!

And Dave Gilmour and Jeff Beck love her.  What better endorsement can you get?!

Hey B. Yonders…

I’ve got a hefty show coming up this week on Beyond Beyond is Beyond.  I will be welcoming the amazing Corn Mo to the show who is releasing an album called Diorama of the Golden Lion with his band .357 Lover later this month.  It is dramatically and epically rockin’, you better believe!

Says Ben Folds about the band: “.357 Lover are too good.  I doubt many people will like this because music audiences in general aren’t smart enough for this kind of quality. Only years from now will people understand what they’re missing. Ridicule them all you like. Ignore them, but history will not ignore .357 Lover. You are f*cking up if you don’t get it…”

And if that weren’t enough, in the first hour of the show, I will be playing newly-remastered Beatles songs since I got my hands on them a week early.  So tune in and check out the sonic superiority!  I’ll also play some other stuff that I’m not sure about yet, so come be surprised with me…or even request stuff at beyondbeyondisbeyond (at) gmail.com or Tweet requests to BBiB!

See you at noon Thursday live at noon on East Village Radio.

Cheers!

Mike
